This experience report, with a qualitative, descriptive, and reflective approach, is based on the work of a pharmacist in a private pharmacy located in a peripheral neighborhood of Juazeiro-BA, between March 2024 and March 2025. The objective was to describe prevention practices for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) among men, identify barriers to sexual health access, and reflect on the pharmacist’s role in promoting care. Through direct observation and daily practice, low male engagement with health services was identified, influenced by stigma and social constructions of masculinity. In this context, the pharmacy emerges as a strategic space for listening, welcoming, and guidance. The results reinforce the importance of recognizing pharmacies as points of healthcare attention and expanding public policies that integrate their role within the SUS network, especially in vulnerable areas, promoting continuity of care and improved access to STI prevention.
