Resumo

The widespread dissemination of scientific fake news online presents a significant societal challenge, affecting decision-making and eroding trust in traditional information sources. In response, the FANER (FAke News Education Reaction) methodology offers a classroom-centered approach, engaging students in critical analysis and debunking of distorted scientific topics. FANER goes beyond classroom boundaries to involve social networks and community actions, empowering students to actively combat disinformation and advocate for accuracy. By implementing FANER, students not only can develop skills in discerning evidence-based science and reliable media but also contribute to building a more informed and resilient society against scientific misinformation. This approach underscores the importance of promoting truth and combating falsehoods in an era where digital communication shapes public perception and policy decisions.
