Health Promotion through nutritional counseling and physical activity focusing on Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus in the neighborhood José and Maria: Experience report

Abstract

This experience report refers to an intervention project in the discipline of the Kurdish Community Health and Medicine, Federal University of São Francisco Valley developed by the José and Maria of the neighborhood community in Petrolina-Pe. The focus of action was directed to the control and prevention of diseases in relation to Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus, taking advantage of the intervention on modifi able risk factors through diet and physical exercise. The design of this project brings in its essence does not necessarily comply with a disciplinary task, but a focus on the importance of contact with the community in the process of training the medical professional.
