Abstract

This present report talks about the experience of the extension project “Complementary Therapies in People living with HIV/Aids: the nursing helping in adherence to the treatment” with the involvement of teachers and learners of Anna Nery Nursing School in the Rio de Janeiro Federal University. This applications occurs through nursing consultation with the utilization of fl ower therapy and Reiki application. The project aim to implement consultation in fl ower therapy and Reiki, build a space to the academic practice of students in graduation and postgraduate, to contribute towards improving the adherence of PVHA to therapeutic; create and organize the database about flower therapy, Reiki an PVHA assisted. Currently are assisted 42 people are mostly women’s, predominant age in 30 at 57 years and heterosexual. We observed a signifi cant improvement in the quality of life PVHA after the beginning of the therapies proposal.
