Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a voz da mulher trabalhadora em três quadros da revista musical Pins and needles. Criada na cidade de Nova Iorque em 1937 por dramaturgos ligados ao teatro de esquerda, a peça satirizou eventos da Grande Depressão, mostrando um humor incomparável. Nos quesitos histórico e cultural, a peça mais popular da década de 1930 é única, por finalmente mostrar a visão de mundo da mulher em um período difícil para a trabalhadora norte-americana. Através da análise do sonho americano, estudamos os questionamentos à ideologia estadunidense do texto dramatúrgico de Pins and needles.
