Abstract

This article reports the experience of two students of the discipline Clinical and Institutional Practices, of the Psychology / Federal University of the São Francisco Valley - UNIVASF course, in the Regional Court of Childhood and Youth, comarca of Petrolina - PE. The insertion in this field happened from five meetings of observation of the operation of the service, readings and of dialogue with the three professionals of psychology of the institution and from this the students managed to gain knowledge in relation to the operation of the institution and to have access to its main demands. The objective of the present study is to address the issue of child sexual violence, as this was a recurring theme in the service processes. It is emphasized that this experience contributed to the acquisition of new knowledge by the future psychologists, because there was an opportunity to know better a field in which the psychologist can act in a significant way.
